Imperva has entered into an agreement to acquire CloudVector, an API security specialist, to strengthen Imperva's API discovery, monitoring and protection capabilities. The deal (expected to close May 2021) brings CloudVector's traffic-based API discovery, ML classification and microsensor deployment into Imperva's web application and API protection portfolio.

The acquisition extends Cloudflare's Zero Trust capabilities by enabling security teams to scan third-party SaaS tools (e.g., Google Workspace, GitHub, AWS) to detect misconfigurations, inappropriate file sharing, and unauthorized access.
