TelevisaUnivision Acquires Spanish-Language Streaming Service Pantaya from Hemisphere Media Group

TelevisaUnivision entered into an agreement to acquire Pantaya, LLC, a U.S. Spanish-language movies and series streaming platform, from Hemisphere Media Group’s affiliate HMTV DTC, LLC. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2022 and includes cash plus certain Puerto Rican radio assets (WKAQ AM and KQ105 FM) currently owned by TelevisaUnivision.
