The deal is supported by a new $135 million credit facility led by Blackstone Credit & Insurance and Blue Owl Credit, alongside TravelPerk’s recent equity funding, to drive further organic and inorganic growth.

U.S. News & World Report Acquires Culture Trip

U.S. News & World Report has acquired TheCultureTrip.com from Culture Trip Travel UK Ltd., adding the travel website and its marketplace for small, insider-led group trips to U.S. News' travel franchise. The Culture Trip site — founded in London in 2011 with 75,000+ travel articles, millions of monthly users and a dedicated apps audience — will continue to operate under the Culture Trip brand; terms were not disclosed.

Professional Travel, founded in 1963 with more than 175 employees and approximately $448 million in combined sales, will retain its executive leadership and be integrated into Direct Travel to deepen North American presence and expand service offerings for mid-market clients.

Siris and Evergreen Acquire Travelport Worldwide

Affiliates of private equity firms Siris Capital Group and Evergreen Coast Capital (an Elliott affiliate) completed an all-cash acquisition of Travelport Worldwide Limited for approximately $4.4 billion. Travelport will be privately held by the buyers, delist from the NYSE, and the deal is intended to support investment in the company’s travel commerce platform and continued product and capability development.
