USIC Locating Services LLC, an affiliate of USIC, LLC, has acquired Utility Resource Group, LLC (URG), a Troy, Michigan–based provider of underground utility locating, gas leak detection, meter services, sewer lateral inspections, and cross-bore mitigation. The deal expands USIC's service footprint and field workforce across the Midwest and Southeast, enhancing its ability to serve utilities and municipalities.

Kohlberg & Company Acquires 50% Stake in USIC; Partners Group Retains 50%

Kohlberg & Company is acquiring a 50% stake in United States Infrastructure Corporation (USIC) while Partners Group will retain a 50% co-lead interest; funds managed by Neuberger Berman also joined the investment. The transaction values USIC at an enterprise value of USD 4.1 billion — USIC is a leading provider of utility locate services headquartered in Indianapolis with ~9,000 technicians performing roughly 80 million locates per year. The investors plan to support further growth through investments in sales and digital capabilities to capture demand driven by infrastructure stimulus and 5G densification.

Sparus Holdings Acquires United Locating Services

Blood Hound Inc. (USIC affiliate) Acquires Subsurface Utility Imaging

Blood Hound Inc., an affiliate of USIC, LLC, acquired Subsurface Utility Imaging (SUI), a Utica, New York–based provider of underground utility locating, concrete imaging and pipeline inspection services. The deal expands Blood Hound's service capabilities (manhole inspections, CCTV inspections and smoke testing) and strengthens its coverage in the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic regions.

USI Consulting Group Acquires Burke Group

USI Consulting Group (USICG), a national retirement plan consulting and benefits administration firm and a subsidiary of USI Insurance Services, has acquired Burke Group, a Rochester, New York-based retirement plan advisory and actuarial firm. Burke will join USICG but will exit its compensation consulting business as part of the transaction; terms were not disclosed.
