Teledyne Technologies has completed the acquisition of the TransponderTech business from Saab AB. The unit — to be marketed as FLIR TransponderTech (Teledyne FLIR TransponderTech AB) and based near Linköping, Sweden — will join Teledyne’s maritime brands to expand its AIS, VDES and GNSS communications and navigation offerings for civil and military markets.

TransDigm Acquires DART Aerospace for Approximately $360M

TransDigm Group Incorporated agreed to acquire DART Aerospace, a Montreal-based manufacturer of helicopter mission equipment, from Greenbriar Equity Group and First Aviation Services for approximately $360 million in cash. DART, which generates roughly $100 million in pro forma 2022 revenue and employs about 400 people across facilities in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, was acquired to expand TransDigm's proprietary product and aftermarket capabilities; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2022 subject to customary approvals.

Vertex Aerospace Acquires Raytheon Technologies' Defense Training and Mission Critical Solutions Business Lines

Vertex Aerospace, owned by private equity firm American Industrial Partners, agreed to acquire Raytheon Technologies' Defense Training and Mission Critical Solutions business lines, a group of businesses that generated approximately $1.0 billion in sales in 2020. The transaction (a divestiture by Raytheon Technologies) adds roughly 2,000 employees to Vertex, expands its training, mission-critical support and modernization capabilities, and broadens its government and commercial aerospace contract portfolio.

ETL Systems Acquires IRT Technologies

ETL Systems has acquired Canadian satellite-communications manufacturer IRT Technologies to broaden its RF amplifier and uplink/downlink product portfolio. The acquisition preserves IRT’s Canadian facility and is intended to strengthen ETL’s technical capabilities and North American go-to-market presence for broadcasting, telecom and defence customers.

Raytheon Technologies Acquires SEAKR Engineering

Raytheon Technologies, through its Raytheon Intelligence & Space business, signed a definitive agreement to acquire SEAKR Engineering, a Colorado-based supplier of space-qualified electronics. SEAKR will become a wholly-owned subsidiary reporting into Raytheon Intelligence & Space; the deal expands Raytheon's space electronics capabilities and product portfolio.

Eqlipse Technologies (Arlington-backed) to Acquire SR Technologies

Eqlipse Technologies, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, has agreed to acquire SR Technologies (SRT), a provider of signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare (EW) products and engineering solutions. The add-on acquisition expands Eqlipse's technical capabilities for Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and federal law enforcement customers; financial terms were not disclosed and the deal was expected to close in Q4 2023.
