FlavorSum (Riverside Portfolio) Acquires Whittle & Mutch

FlavorSum, a North American flavor producer and platform company owned by The Riverside Company, has acquired Whittle & Mutch, a U.S.-based formulator of liquid flavors and extracts primarily for refreshing beverages. The add-on expands FlavorSum's beverage flavor capabilities and capacity to better serve small and mid-sized food & beverage customers as part of Riverside's strategy to grow the FlavorSum platform.

The Riverside Company Invests in National Flavors, LLC

The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm, has invested in National Flavors, LLC (NF), a Michigan-based flavor manufacturer founded in 1941 that supplies flavors for beverages, frozen desserts, baked goods, confections and processed fruits. Riverside said it will strengthen NF’s research, development and application capabilities through organic and inorganic initiatives and is actively pursuing add-ons to build out its flavor and specialty ingredients platform.

The Riverside Company / National Flavors Acquires Bonnie & Don Flavours (B&D)

The Riverside Company, through its flavor platform with portfolio company National Flavors (NF), completed an add-on acquisition of Bonnie & Don Flavours (B&D), a Canadian manufacturer of natural and organic flavors and extracts. The deal is the second add-on to Riverside's flavor platform and is intended to expand the platform's geographic presence by adding a manufacturing facility in Canada.

Brookside Flavors & Ingredients Acquires Sterling Food Flavorings, LLC

Meridian Adhesives Group Acquires Prime Blend, LLC

Meridian Adhesives Group has acquired Prime Blend, LLC, a manufacturer and formulator of water‑based and hot‑melt adhesives and coatings based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The add‑on strengthens Meridian’s Industrial Division by expanding its product and technology offerings and broadening its end‑market exposure in food & beverage packaging, paper/film/foil converting and furniture markets.
