Valo Health Acquires Courier Therapeutics

Valo Health has acquired Courier Therapeutics, a biotechnology company founded at Washington University in St. Louis that developed a protein therapeutics platform and the tumor-targeting candidate OPL-0101. The acquisition extends Valo’s Opal Computational Platform into protein therapeutics and is expected to broaden Valo’s modalities and capabilities across oncology and other therapeutic areas; the deal includes an upfront payment and milestone-based consideration.

VeraScore Acquires Vala AI

Vala AI's applied-AI software dependency and technical-debt management tools will be integrated into VeraScore's platform; Vala AI co-founder and CEO Christian Hammer will join VeraScore's board to support the integration and product expansion.

BioVentrix Acquires MateraCor, Inc.

BioIVT, a provider of research models and value-added research services, has acquired Valley Biomedical Products & Services, an FDA-registered manufacturer of in vitro diagnostics, sera, plasma and reagents based in Winchester, Virginia. The acquisition will expand BioIVT’s capabilities in IVD manufacturing and cell & gene therapy support by combining Valley Biomedical’s reagent and blood-product manufacturing with BioIVT’s donor centers and specimen services; BioIVT will continue operating the Winchester facility and retain its staff.
