Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) has acquired Technical Safety Services (TSS) from The Edgewater Funds and JZ Partners; financial terms were not disclosed. TSS, headquartered in La Jolla, California, provides testing, inspection, certification and calibration services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare customers; LLCP intends to support further growth through strategic M&A and geographic expansion while CEO Brent Hart remains in place.

The deal expands TSS's geographic presence in the U.S. Southwest and adds specialized validation and calibration capabilities to its testing, inspection, certification and calibration (TICC) platform.
