HitecVision has acquired a 50% ownership stake in Altibox Carrier, a subsidiary carved out from Lyse, to create an independent Nordic platform for high-capacity fiber infrastructure serving data centers and cloud providers. The joint venture will remain headquartered in Stavanger and will focus on developing existing subsea and terrestrial routes, building new strategic routes, and pursuing acquisitions of smaller Nordic fiber operators to meet rising data-traffic demand.

Ziggo Group is expected to hold Liberty Global’s interests in VodafoneZiggo and Belgium’s Telenet, with plans to list in Amsterdam in 2027 and spin off 90% of shares to Liberty Global shareholders.
