Waste Management, Inc. (WM) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Stericycle, acquiring all outstanding shares for $62.00 per share in cash, for an enterprise value of approximately $7.2 billion including net debt. WM completed the acquisition and Stericycle’s stock stopped trading on NASDAQ beginning November 4, 2024.

Veolia to Sell Suez Recycling and Recovery UK Group to Macquarie for €2.4bn

Veolia has executed a unilateral put agreement for Macquarie Asset Management to acquire 100% of Suez Recycling and Recovery UK Group (Suez’s UK waste business) for approximately €2.4 billion. The deal is subject to UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) approval and other agreed conditions, following Veolia’s 2021 Suez takeover and associated antitrust divestment program.

Northstar Recycling Company, LLC has acquired Waste Technology Services, LLC, combining two asset-light providers of managed waste, byproduct management and environmental consulting to strengthen technical capabilities and expand sustainability-oriented services. WTS, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Lewiston, New York, will join Northstar's platform (PE-backed after a 2021 recapitalization led by Ridgemont Equity Partners) to deliver broader recycling, reuse and reclamation solutions across specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, high-technology and industrial end markets.
