OriginClear transferred its Modular Water Systems division and related IP to its subsidiary Water On Demand, Inc. Water On Demand purchased the assets (including patent licenses) in exchange for 6 million shares of Water On Demand common stock to better align technology with Water On Demand's investment and managed-services platform and accelerate commercial adoption.

H2O Innovation Acquires NextEra Distributed Water

H2O Innovation Inc. has acquired NextEra Distributed Water in a carve-out transaction, integrating the business into a new Water Infrastructure & Development business line to operate NextEra’s WaterHub assets. The acquisition brings in-house large-scale asset development and ownership capabilities — enabling H2O Innovation to offer turn-key onsite wastewater treatment and reuse projects delivered at no upfront capital cost and operated under long-term contracts; the deal is supported by follow-on investment from funds managed by Ember Infrastructure Management LP and existing minority owners.
