Softek Acquires Gentech (H2 FinTech)

Softek, a provider of capital and credit management solutions, has acquired Gentech (H2 FinTech), a technology and software services firm serving broker-dealers and registered investment advisors (RIAs). The acquisition adds Gentech's compliance, sales supervision, commission compensation and portfolio management platform and technical development team to Softek, expanding its capabilities and reach into the RIA/independent broker-dealer market.

Etratech, which employs more than 400 people and had estimated revenues of CAD 77 million (about US$61 million) trailing-12-months, was purchased for US$64 million (~8.5x trailing EBITDA).
