Brown & Brown Acquires BdB Limited Insurance Operating Companies

Brown & Brown, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire the general insurance operating companies of BdB (including BdB (UK) Limited, BdB Europe SRL and affiliated Mithras entities). The BdB businesses — a specialist wholesale broker and MGA network operating in the UK and Europe — will continue to operate from locations in London, Belgium and Italy and will report into Brown & Brown’s Bridge Specialty Group.

Brown & Brown Acquires Quintes from Aquiline Capital Partners

Brown & Brown, Inc. has agreed to acquire Quintes Holding B.V. from Aquiline Capital Partners LP, with the Quintes management ownership team also selling their stakes. Quintes, a leading Dutch insurance broker and MGA serving roughly 200,000 SME and retail customers with ~700 employees across 18 offices, will join Brown & Brown pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals expected in Q4 2024.

Brown & Brown Acquires Substantially All Assets of Sudler Insurance Services

Brown & Brown of Florida, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc., has acquired substantially all of the assets of Sudler Insurance Services, Inc., a boutique employee benefits insurance agency founded in 1995. The transaction brings Sudler's founder Robert "Bob" A. Sudler into Brown & Brown's South Florida retail team to expand employee benefits capabilities and serve customers across Florida, Michigan and South Carolina.

Brown & Brown Acquires The Pacific Underwriters Corporation

A subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc. acquired substantially all of the assets of The Pacific Underwriters Corporation. The Pacific Underwriters team will continue operating from their Seattle location as part of Brown & Brown's National Programs segment, strengthening the firm's capabilities in public-utility program management and dental practitioner insurance across the Pacific Northwest. The sellers were shareholders Diane M. Darling, Randall R. Flem and Richard C. Rodruck.

Venbrook Group, LLC acquired InterContinental Insurance Brokers, LLC, a Boston-based property & casualty insurance brokerage, to strengthen its East Coast presence and commercial real estate risk management capabilities. IIB founder Thomas E. Sleeper will continue to lead the business and become Managing Director of Venbrook Insurance Services Northeast Real Estate, supporting expansion of Venbrook's nationwide commercial real estate offerings.

The acquisition adds Berry’s Terrace Park and Lebanon, Ohio offices and team to Brown & Brown’s retail presence in Ohio; Mark Berry will continue to lead the Berry team and report to Brown & Brown's Regional President.
