Sykes Holiday Cottages, a portfolio company of Vitruvian Partners, is set to acquire Forest Holidays from an institutional investor group led by Phoenix Equity Partners and including LDC. The transaction brings Forest Holidays’ 12-location, nature-based cabin business into the Forge/Sykes platform to create a larger UK domestic holiday group focused on sustainable tourism.

Vitruvian Partners has acquired Sykes Cottages Holdings Limited, a UK-based vacation rental management business, with unitranche senior debt facilities provided by EQT Credit to finance the acquisition, refinance existing debt, and support future growth. Sykes operates a tech-enabled vacation rental platform managing tens of thousands of properties across the United Kingdom and New Zealand and will be supported by the new capital for continued expansion.

Travel Counsellors has acquired Holidaysplease, a Birmingham-based network of luxury homeworking travel advisors and franchisees. The deal brings Holidaysplease's community of roughly 100 homeworkers, 50 franchisees and about 50 employees into Travel Counsellors' global platform, strengthening its people-led, technology-enabled travel entrepreneur network.
