Hospice of the Western Reserve Acquires Hospice of North Central Ohio

Hospice of the Western Reserve (HWR), a Cleveland-based nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider, has completed its acquisition of Hospice of North Central Ohio (HNCO) effective Aug. 1, 2024. The transaction expands HWR's service footprint in northern Ohio (adding Ashland, Knox and Richland counties), stabilizes HNCO amid economic and competitive pressures, and brings over 90% of HNCO staff into the HWR organization.
