Waverly Advisors Acquires 9258 Wealth Management

Waverly Advisors, a Birmingham-based RIA backed by Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC's Aspire Holdings, acquired 9258 Wealth Management, a Cincinnati-based investment advisory and tax preparation firm. The deal adds three Ohio offices and approximately $1.0 billion in AUM, brings a team of 24 professionals to Waverly, and closed on October 18, 2024, increasing Waverly's AUM to about $14.4 billion.

Waverly Advisors Acquires NBW Capital, LLC

The entire NBW team will join Waverly (except Ben Niedermeyer, who is retiring); the transaction closed on March 28, 2025 and is intended to bolster Waverly's equity strategy management capabilities.

The deal closed April 4, 2025 and adds approximately $110 million of AUM while expanding Waverly's presence in Southwest Florida.

Waverly Advisors, a fee-only registered investment adviser backed by Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC’s Aspire platform, has acquired Prosper Financial Advisers of St. Petersburg, Florida. The deal closed on November 10, 2023, adds approximately $146 million of AUM to Waverly (bringing total AUM to about $7.7 billion) and brings founder Rhonda Holifield and her all-female team into Waverly to expand the firm’s Florida presence.

The Wall Advisors team of four will join Waverly (Lee Wall will serve as Regional Director); the deal closed on December 2, 2022 and is Waverly's third RIA acquisition since taking equity backing from Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC's Aspire Holdings platform.

Waverly Advisors, a PE-backed registered investment adviser, has acquired Baltimore-based GGM Wealth Advisors, adding a team that manages over $400 million in AUM and expanding Waverly’s footprint into Maryland and Virginia. The deal closed March 21, 2025 and is an add-on to Waverly’s platform (backed by Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC), increasing the platform’s total AUM to roughly $16.9–17.4 billion.
