ADM Acquires Fuerst Day Lawson (FDL) from Highlander Partners

ADM (Archer-Daniels-Midland Company) agreed to acquire and has completed the purchase of Fuerst Day Lawson Limited (FDL), a London-based developer and manufacturer of flavor and functional ingredient systems, from Highlander Partners. FDL, founded in 1884, operates three UK production facilities, has ~235 employees and projected 2023 sales of about $120 million; ADM said the deal expands its global flavors capabilities and strengthens its presence in European foodservice and other food & beverage end markets.

ADM Acquires Revela Foods

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) agreed to acquire Revela Foods, a New Berlin, Wisconsin-based developer and manufacturer of dairy flavor ingredients and enzyme-based flavor technology. Revela, a portfolio company of New Heritage Capital since 2019, has roughly 400 employees and projected 2023 sales of about $240 million; the acquisition expands ADM's dairy and savory flavors capabilities and is expected to close in early 2024 subject to customary approvals.

Exponent Acquires IFF's Flavour Specialty Ingredients (FSI) Business

Exponent Private Equity agreed to acquire the Flavour Specialty Ingredients division (FSI) from International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), a UK‑headquartered supplier of natural and aroma chemical base aromas. The carve‑out includes four manufacturing and distribution facilities across the UK, US and China, serves ~970+ clients and generates over $100 million in revenue; Exponent will back FSI to grow organically and via acquisitions.

Adams Flavors Acquires Goodman's Vanilla

Adams Flavors, Foods & Ingredients, a portfolio company backed by Midwest Growth Partners and partners, completed the acquisition of Goodman's Vanilla (Goodman's Flavorings) on September 29–30, 2024. Goodman's, a Marshfield, Missouri manufacturer of vanillas, flavor extracts and colors, is Adams' first add-on and will support regional expansion of Adams' branded products and the addition of spice offerings under the Goodman's banner.

Darling Ingredients Acquires Brazil's FASA Group

Darling Ingredients Inc. completed the acquisition of FASA Group, Brazil's largest independent rendering company, for approximately R$2.8 billion (about $542.6 million USD) plus customary adjustments and a contingent earnout. The deal adds 14 operating rendering plants (with two more under construction) and secures significant feedstock for Darling's specialty ingredients and renewable fuels businesses while expanding its presence in Brazil.

Turpaz Industries Acquires Flavors and Essences UK (F&E) from IFF for £22M

Turpaz Industries Ltd. acquired 100% of Flavors and Essences UK Limited (F&E) from IFF for £22 million, expanding Turpaz's presence in the UK and Europe. F&E, founded in 1998, employs about 50 people and reported £6.6 million revenue in the first half of 2024; Turpaz said the acquisition strengthens its European footprint and cross-selling capabilities.
