Genesis Systems LLC (Tampa, Florida) has acquired Molecule Inc., an emerging materials-sciences innovator, to expand its intellectual property and product portfolio for renewable water supply and utility-scale water-from-air technologies. The deal is intended to consolidate IP and technical capability to accelerate Genesis Systems' Water-as-a-Service offerings for defense, utilities and industrial end markets.

Moog Inc. Acquires Dublin-Based TEAM Accessories Limited

Moog Inc. has completed the acquisition of TEAM Accessories Limited, an aerospace MRO specialist based in Dublin, Ireland. The purchase will expand Moog’s Commercial Aftermarket capabilities in aircraft engine accessories and related testing and repair services; the purchase price was not disclosed.

Mercury Systems Acquires Creative Electronic Systems (CES)

Mercury Systems agreed to acquire CES Creative Electronic Systems, S.A., a Geneva-based provider of safety-certifiable mission computing and avionics subsystems, for approximately $38 million. The deal (expected to close in Mercury's fiscal Q2 ending Dec. 31, 2016) expands Mercury's mission-computing and safety-critical avionics capabilities and broadens its addressable markets in commercial aerospace and defense globally.

AeroVironment Acquires Planck Aerosystems

AeroVironment, Inc. has acquired Planck Aerosystems, a San Diego-based developer of advanced unmanned aircraft navigation and autonomy solutions. The acquisition will accelerate AeroVironment's autonomy capabilities by integrating Planck's embedded Autonomous Control Engine (ACE) and other technologies into its medium unmanned aircraft systems (MUAS) business, expanding capability for operations from moving platforms and in GPS-denied environments.

McNally Capital Acquires Airforce Turbine Service (ATS)

McNally Capital has acquired Airforce Turbine Service, Ltd. (ATS), a Texas-headquartered provider of PT6A turboprop engine MRO and aftermarket services, marking the first investment from McNally Capital Fund III. As part of the transaction, Johannesburg-based TEMRO will join ATS as a wholly owned operating subsidiary and industry executive Rob Wilson will serve as Executive Chairman to support scaling and capability expansion.

GE Aerospace Acquires Northstar Aerospace from Wynnchurch Capital

Wynnchurch Capital has sold Northstar Aerospace, a Bedford Park, Illinois-based manufacturer of flight-critical and non-flight-critical aircraft parts, to GE Aerospace. Northstar produces complex components such as gears, housings, assemblies and shafts for helicopter transmission systems; Vedder Price provided legal counsel to Wynnchurch and Lincoln International and Moelis & Company served as financial advisors.
