Averna Acquires ProNES Automation GmbH

Averna, a global test and quality solutions provider based in Montreal, has acquired German automation specialist ProNES Automation GmbH and opened a Landau office to oversee sales and operations in Germany. ProNES founder and CEO Jochen Weber will join Averna's leadership team; the deal strengthens Averna's capabilities in automated quality inspection and battery test solutions while expanding its local presence in Germany.

GE Vernova Acquires Remaining 50% of Prolec GE

GE Vernova completed the purchase of the remaining 50% stake in Prolec GE from joint-venture partner Xignux for $5.275 billion, funded with an equal mix of cash and debt. The acquisition converts the long-running JV into a wholly owned business and brings Prolec GE (roughly 10,000 employees across seven manufacturing sites in the Americas) fully into GE Vernova’s Electrification segment to expand manufacturing capacity and services for North American grid markets.
