Sterling Investment Partners Acquires PROtect from Spire Capital Partners

Sterling Investment Partners has acquired PROtect, a Wichita-based provider of safety, reliability, compliance and risk-management services, from Spire Capital Partners. PROtect, which employs over 550 people and offers NDT, mechanical integrity, pipeline integrity, environmental and compliance solutions (including proprietary software), will be a Sterling platform to drive further geographic and service expansion; financial terms were not disclosed.

PROtect, LLC, a portfolio company of Spire Capital Partners, has acquired Riccardelli Consulting Services, Inc. (RCS), a Lehi, Utah–based provider of advanced and conventional non-destructive testing focused on pipeline integrity for the midstream oil & gas industry. The bolt‑on acquisition expands PROtect's advanced NDT and pipeline integrity capabilities; RCS owner Sean Riccardelli will join the combined management team. Both companies will retain existing employees and continue operating under their current brands.

The deal expands PROtect's Pipeline Integrity capabilities and strengthens its regional presence in Oklahoma while adding Trident's field talent and technical expertise.

The transaction combines the customer bases and technical capabilities of the two firms to expand AIC's services across the Gulf Coast and strengthen its systems integration offerings for public safety, commercial and governmental customers.

Rockbridge Growth Equity Acquires Protect Environmental

Rockbridge Growth Equity has acquired Louisville-based Protect Environmental and will integrate it into its national environmental services platform currently operating as RB Home Services, retiring the RB Home Services name in favor of the Protect Environmental brand. Protect Environmental — a leader in radon and chemical vapor intrusion consulting and mitigation — will serve as the cornerstone of the platform's expanded commercial capabilities and will relocate its headquarters to Louisville, Kentucky, with CEO Kyle Hoylman remaining in leadership.

Airde, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Las Vegas, brings SPRAT/IRATA-certified technicians and experience across bridges, stadiums, hydroelectric facilities, and other infrastructure and energy projects.
