Lyons Magnus Acquires Hormel Health Labs, Forms Lyons Health Labs

Lyons Magnus LLC has acquired the operations and brands of Hormel Health Labs, LLC from Hormel Foods Corporation and launched a new division, Lyons Health Labs. The combined business — headquartered in Fresno, California — will market rebranded clinical nutrition and health products (including ReadyCare, THICK & EASY, Vital Cuisine, MED PASS 2.0, MightyShakes and Magic Cup) and expand Lyons Magnus' presence in medical nutrition and health-focused foodservice.

Aurora-Backed Spray-Tek Acquires TRuCapSol

Spray-Tek, a specialty spray-drying and ingredient processing platform backed by Aurora Capital Partners, has acquired TRuCapSol, a developer of biodegradable microencapsulation technologies. The acquisition adds TRuCapSol's patented biodegradable capsule IP and R&D capabilities to Spray-Tek's ingredient processing platform to expand addressable markets across personal care, nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals.

PanTheryx Acquires TruBiotics Brand from Bayer HealthCare LLC

AUA Private Equity Acquires Assets of TruFood Mfg.

AUA Private Equity Partners has acquired the assets of TruFood Mfg., Inc. (AOG, LLC d/b/a TruFood Manufacturing), a Pittsburgh-based contract manufacturer of nutrition and snack bars. AUA said it will provide capital, operational support and new executive leadership to expand TruFood's product development, R&D and customer service capabilities as part of its food manufacturing portfolio.

Nelson Global Products Acquires Tru-Flex

Nelson Global Products, a Wind Point Partners-backed manufacturer of thermal, acoustic and fluid-management components, has acquired Tru-Flex LLC, a West Lebanon, Indiana-based maker of engineered flexible elements for exhaust systems with manufacturing in Indiana and Zimna Wodka, Poland. The add-on expands Nelson's NVH and exhaust-component capabilities and adds European manufacturing footprint; HBM Holdings (the Tru-Flex parent) will retain an ownership position via an investment in Nelson.

TruArc Partners Acquires Meyer Laboratory

TruArc Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Meyer Laboratory, Inc., a Kansas City-area manufacturer and distributor of industrial and institutional cleaning chemicals, from owners Russell Meyer and William "Rusty" Meyer. TruArc will support Meyer Lab's next phase of growth through organic investments and targeted M&A while the existing president, Mike Miller, remains in his role and Rusty Meyer stays on the board.
