Trane Technologies (Thermo King) Acquires Klinge Corporation

Trane Technologies, through its Thermo King brand, completed the acquisition of Klinge Corporation on August 1, 2024. Klinge, a York, Pennsylvania–based maker of specialized ISO refrigerated transport containers and related power-generation equipment, will complement Thermo King's transport temperature-control portfolio and expand its capability to serve highly specialized cold‑chain and government/military markets.

Johnson Controls Acquires Lux Products Corporation

Johnson Controls has acquired the assets of Lux Products Corporation, a maker of residential thermostats and smart-home products, to strengthen its thermostat product and technology portfolio. The deal brings Lux's brands (including Kono and Geo) and US-based development and distribution capabilities into Johnson Controls' Building Technologies & Solutions business to accelerate product development and expand offerings in the residential channel.

ECI Software Solutions Acquires ThermoGRID

ECI Software Solutions has acquired ThermoGRID, a SaaS field-service management solution for residential service contractors developed by Adam Cory. The acquisition, which closed on September 1, 2020, brings ThermoGRID into ECI's Field Service division to expand ECI's capabilities and reach into residential HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other contractor markets; terms were not disclosed.

Eaton Acquires Exertherm

Eaton has completed the acquisition of Exertherm, a U.K.-based provider of continuous thermal monitoring solutions for electrical equipment. Eaton plans to integrate Exertherm's thermal monitoring technology into its Brightlayer software suite to expand capabilities for data centers, utilities and industrial customers and improve safety and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure.

Triton Acquires Majority Stake in Kälte Eckert Group

Trane Technologies (Thermo King) Acquires CSTK, Inc.

Trane Technologies, through its Thermo King brand, has acquired CSTK, Inc., a longtime independent Thermo King dealer serving the Northeast and Central United States. The acquisition brings CSTK's 10 sites, customer base and more than 200 employees into Thermo King Americas as company-owned operations to strengthen service coverage and customer proximity in key U.S. markets.
