Cinven Acquires Majority Stake in BioAgilytix; Cobepa Reinvests

International private equity firm Cinven has agreed to acquire a majority stake in BioAgilytix through a recapitalization, with current investor Cobepa remaining a significant minority investor. GHO Capital has realised its investment and will exit; the transaction will provide funding to support BioAgilytix’s international expansion, capacity and capability investments, and buy-and-build strategy in large-molecule bioanalytical services. BioAgilytix is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina and employs about 870 staff across the United States, Europe and Australia.

BioAgilytix Acquires 360biolabs and MicroConstants

BioAgilytix Labs, LLC acquired Australia-based 360biolabs and US-based MicroConstants to expand its global footprint and bioanalytical capabilities, including LC/MS/MS, virology and immunology expertise. The deals (360biolabs subject to FIRB approval) add capacity in Melbourne and Brisbane and establish BioAgilytix San Diego, strengthening support for first-in-human and early-phase clinical trials across major geographies.

Agilent Technologies Acquires BIOVECTRA for $925M

Agilent Technologies has acquired BIOVECTRA, a Canada-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), for $925 million. The acquisition — a purchase from H.I.G. Capital — expands Agilent's CDMO capabilities across biologics, HPAPIs, pDNA/mRNA and LNP formulation, and integrates BIOVECTRA into Agilent's Diagnostics and Genomics Group.

Nexelis Acquires GSK Vaccines Clinical Bioanalytical Laboratory (Marburg)

Nexelis, a portfolio company of Ampersand Capital Partners, has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire GSK's GCLP-certified clinical bioanalytical laboratory in Marburg, Germany. Approximately 80 scientists and analysts will transfer to Nexelis, which also entered a five-year strategic collaboration with GSK to continue supporting vaccine development while expanding Nexelis' assay development and high-throughput clinical testing capabilities in Europe.

Biosynth Acquires Cambridge Research Biochemicals (CRB)

Biosynth, a Switzerland-based supplier of critical materials to the life science industry, has acquired Cambridge Research Biochemicals (CRB), a UK-based independent producer of custom peptides and antibody tools. The acquisition expands Biosynth's peptide and antibody capabilities in Europe, adding expertise in complex peptide chemistry, fluorescent dye labelling and custom antibody generation to its existing operations.

CellCarta Acquires Biogazelle
