Flexential, a US data center and digital infrastructure provider, has received a strategic common-equity investment from Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP), which will partner as a co-control investor alongside existing investor GI Partners to provide primary capital to accelerate expansion. The capital will fund growth of Flexential's FlexAnywhere platform, active development of its national data center footprint, and support demand from enterprise, cloud and AI workloads. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2024 subject to regulatory approvals.

MSIP said it will support SpecialtyCare’s growth and further invest in the company’s team and capabilities across its perfusion, ECMO, intraoperative neuromonitoring, sterile processing and surgical support services.

The Sustainable Investing business of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Cleanhill Partners have acquired a majority stake in EPC Power Corp. through a comprehensive recapitalization to support the company's expansion of U.S. manufacturing capacity and growth into utility-scale renewable energy storage and related markets. EPC Power, a Poway, California-based designer and manufacturer of American-made smart inverters, employs ~180 people and operates additional engineering/sales offices in Helsinki to serve global customers.

The transaction gives MSIP control of a leading Spanish waste-management and treatment business (operating concession-based municipal contracts and waste-to-energy/recycling facilities) with operations across Spain, Australia and Colombia and approximately 11,000 employees.

MSIP said the acquisition adds a strategic, asset-backed transportation business that connects the North and South Islands and supports New Zealand's logistics supply chain.
