Peterson (Peterson Private Equity / Peterson Partners) has made a growth equity investment in Black Mountain Software, a Polson, Montana-based provider of government accounting, utility billing, and school district accounting software. The capital will be used to accelerate product expansion, innovation, and growth into new geographies, and Black Mountain has added Mike Fabrizio and Nate Quinn as co-CEOs to support that growth.

Black Mountain Software Acquires Cascade Software Systems

Black Mountain Software, a Peterson Partners-backed provider of government accounting and billing software, has acquired Cascade Software Systems to expand its cost and project accounting capabilities for local governments. Cascade's COO Ayren Spinner will join Black Mountain as President of Cascade; deal terms were not disclosed.

Vista Equity Partners Acquires Black Mountain Systems

Vista Equity Partners has agreed to acquire Black Mountain Systems, a San Diego–based provider of workflow and portfolio management software for credit investors and alternative asset managers. The transaction will see Stone Point Capital exit its investment and provides Black Mountain with capital and resources to accelerate product development, international expansion and growth under Vista's ownership.
