Utz Brands Acquires Clem Snacks and J&D Snacks

Utz Brands, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement for its subsidiaries to acquire the assets of two New York direct store delivery (DSD) distributors: Clem Snacks, Inc. (a Clem Companies subsidiary) and J&D Snacks, Inc. The purchases add approximately 125 DSD routes across New York City and Long Island, intended to accelerate Utz's share gains and expand its distribution and retailer support in the region; the transactions are expected to close in Q1 2022 with financial terms undisclosed.
