Civitas Resources, Inc. has closed its acquisition of Denver-Julesburg Basin operator Bison Oil & Gas II, LLC for approximately $300 million in cash. The deal adds 102 gross locations (38 fully permitted) and ~9,000 Boed of pro forma 2022E production to Civitas' portfolio, and is expected to be accretive to production, EBITDA and free cash flow while preserving a strong balance sheet.

Crescent Energy Co. closed its purchase of Uinta Basin oil and gas assets in Utah for $690 million, acquiring approximately 145,000 contiguous net acres producing roughly 30,000 boe/d (about 65% oil). The assets were sold by Verdun Oil Co. II LLC (an EnCap Investments-backed vehicle) previously associated with EP Energy; Crescent said the deal expands its Rockies position and adds multiyear development inventory and cash flow.

Bison Acquires Woody Creek Midstream

The deal brings long-term (15–30 year) water gathering and disposal contracts with Casillas Petroleum Resource Partners, Camino Natural Resources and Paloma Operating Company, expanding Bison's footprint and dedicated acreage across the Anadarko Basin.

Citizen Energy Acquires Oil and Gas Properties of Red Bluff Resources and Bricktown Energy

Tulsa-based Citizen Energy closed the acquisition of substantially all oil and gas properties of Red Bluff Resources and Bricktown Energy, effective April 1, 2022. The deal adds ~13,000 BOEPD (56% liquids), ~200 operated wells and 739 non-op wells (an ~18% increase to Citizen's daily production) and was financed in part with $250 million of senior secured second lien notes provided by private funds managed by EIG; the company also increased its revolving credit facility to $1 billion.
