TriSpan Opportunities LP (TriSpan OF) established FoodPrep Solutions as a platform in January 2020 and, in June 2020, FoodPrep Solutions completed its first acquisition in the foodservice equipment sales and services sector (the platform's fifth acquisition overall). The platform, led by CEO Jim Mase and sponsored by TriSpan OF, will integrate route-based cutlery exchange and equipment sales & service capabilities to accelerate growth across restaurants, supermarkets, caterers, healthcare facilities and other foodservice end markets.

Velosio Acquires Silverware Inc.

Velosio has acquired Phoenix-based Silverware Inc., a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central partner that specializes in ERP and solutions for the agribusiness (commercial greenhouse) market. The acquisition expands Velosio's cloud ERP, CRM and digital transformation capabilities and adds Silverware's team of ~35 professionals and agribusiness-focused IP to Velosio's portfolio.

Cozzini Bros. Merges with Diamond Sharp Services

Cozzini Bros., the largest commercial knife sharpening and exchange services company in the U.S., announced a merger with Diamond Sharp Services, a family-owned cutlery sharpening and rental services provider based in Brea, California. The combined company will operate under the Cozzini Bros. name, expanding Cozzini's footprint in the Western U.S.; Cozzini is PE-backed by Birch Hill Equity Partners, which has supported multiple add-on acquisitions since 2017.

Revo Brands Acquires Outdoor Edge Cutlery Corporation

Revo Brands, the parent company of Real Avid and a platform backed by Clearview Capital Fund IV, acquired Outdoor Edge Cutlery Corporation in an add‑on transaction that closed November 4, 2021. Outdoor Edge, a maker of premium knives and hand tools founded by David Bloch in 1988, will remain under the Revo/Vertikal Brands platform with Mr. Bloch continuing to play a key role; terms were not disclosed.

Hitachi Healthcare Americas Acquires VidiStar

Hitachi Healthcare Americas Corporation, a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., has agreed to acquire VidiStar, LLC, a Greenville, South Carolina-based developer of a cloud-based diagnostic viewer and structured reporting solution for medical imaging. The acquisition is intended to expand Hitachi's healthcare informatics, structured reporting and analytics capabilities to improve workflow and decision support for providers performing diagnostic ultrasound and other imaging exams; VidiStar will retain its Greenville headquarters and employees will join Hitachi Healthcare Americas.
