ARES, a leading Romanian interventional cardiology operator controlled by Highlander Partners, has acquired Cardiomed Cluj to create an integrated cardiology platform in Cluj-Napoca. The deal brings Cardiomed’s large outpatient and imaging capabilities into the ARES network to expand early diagnosis, imaging and interventional cardiology services; Cardiomed founder Dr. Carmen Mureșan will continue to lead the business.

ARCHIMED (MED Platform I) Acquires Majority Stake in CARSO

Transatlantic healthcare private equity firm ARCHIMED, via its MED Platform I fund and in partnership with CAPZA Expansion and Siparex, has acquired a majority stake in Lyon-based CARSO, a leader in purity and analytical testing for pharma, healthcare, environmental and food sectors. The deal (debt provided by Tikehau Capital and several banks) will support CARSO's internationalization and service-range expansion as the group aims to more than double current annual revenues (above €200 million).

Miura Partners Backs Saesco Medical; Saesco Acquires Cardiolink

Eurazeo to Acquire Eres Group Stake from IK Partners

Eurazeo has signed an agreement to acquire the stake in French fintech Eres Group from IK Partners' IK VIII Fund; financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. Eres, headquartered in Paris, is a leading provider of employee profit-sharing, retirement schemes and asset management with approximately €6.7 billion in assets under management and a distribution network of over 6,600 distributors.

ARCHIMED Acquires Majority Stake in Cardioline

Trans-Atlantic private equity firm ARCHIMED has acquired a majority stake in Cardioline, a Trento, Italy-based maker of cardiology devices and Europe's largest provider of cardiology-focused telemedicine. The investment, made through ARCHIMED's MED III Fund, will support Cardioline's product and software development, international expansion and potential add-on M&A while founders retain a significant minority stake and remain in management.
