CenterOak Partners announced the formation of SurfacePrep by combining its legacy GNAP investment with ten strategic acquisitions, including the acquisition of Temple Associates, a Sacramento-based distributor of loose abrasives and blast equipment. TA Associates has signed a binding agreement to acquire Surfaces Group, the Italy-headquartered global supplier of abrasive tools and consumables, from private equity firm Astorg. Surfaces Group, based in Cenate Sotto, Italy, generates over €100 million in sales, employs more than 500 people across 13 production plants and multiple international subsidiaries, and the deal is expected to close in Q4 2020 subject to customary conditions.
