Prime Matter Labs, a U.S.-based contract manufacturer of beauty and personal care products, has acquired beauty.art.science LLC and named its founder Jennifer Hurtikant as Incoming Chief Science Officer. Hurtikant will join Prime Matter Labs' R&D leadership, be based at the company's Torrance, California facility, and oversee R&D operations across Torrance, Miami, and New York City. The acquisition strengthens Prime Matter Labs' formulation expertise and innovation capabilities for brand partners.

Mitsui will position D-LAB as the core beauty & personal care (BPC) business in the Americas, leveraging Japanese technologies and Mitsui's procurement and global network to expand capabilities and scale in the U.S. market.

LGM Pharma Acquires Nexgen Pharma's Drug Product CDMO Business

PLZ Aeroscience Acquires 220 Laboratories

PLZ Aeroscience Corporation, a PE-backed specialty aerosol and liquid product manufacturer, has acquired 220 Laboratories, a Riverside, California-based personal care formulator and contract manufacturer. The deal expands PLZ's end-to-end personal care capabilities—adding formulation, ideation and a 200,000 sq. ft. FDA-registered manufacturing facility—and is PLZ's fourth personal care acquisition in recent years.
