Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP) has acquired PKWARE, a Milwaukee-based provider of data encryption, compression and automated data security solutions, to accelerate growth of the Smartcrypt platform. Northstar Capital provided junior capital to support the transaction; PKWARE appointed Spencer Kupferman as CEO while former CEO Miller Newton transitions to a board advisor role.
