Engineering Services Acquisitions in Kentucky

Pape-Dawson has acquired Louisville-based civil engineering firm Prism Engineering, marking the firm’s first expansion into Kentucky. The acquisition adds Prism’s civil engineering and land-development expertise to Pape-Dawson’s regional platform, enabling expanded services for commercial, industrial and residential development projects in Kentucky and the surrounding region.

UES, a national engineering and consulting firm based in Orlando, Florida, has acquired CSI (Consulting Services Incorporated), a Lexington, Kentucky-based geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and environmental services firm with an additional office in Cincinnati, Ohio. The acquisition brings CSI into UES's Midwest region to expand services and geographic coverage in Kentucky and Ohio; CSI's leadership will continue to operate day-to-day business.

STV Group, Inc. has acquired American Engineers, Inc. (AEI), a full-service civil engineering firm with more than 120 professionals and offices across Kentucky and Georgia. The transaction closed on June 1, 2023; AEI will operate as AEI, an STV Company, expanding STV’s presence and service capabilities in the rapidly growing I-75/I-65 corridor in the Southeast U.S.

Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. acquired the assets of BTM Engineering, Inc., a Louisville, Kentucky-based civil and structural engineering, surveying and landscape architecture firm. The asset purchase (financed with cash, seller financing and stock) is expected to initially contribute approximately $3.0 million of annual net service billing and expands Bowman's presence into the Louisville market.

PRIME AE Group, the cornerstone company of NewHold AEC, has acquired Integrated Engineering, a 41-person Kentucky-based engineering and surveying firm. The add-on expands PRIME AE's capabilities and geographic presence in Kentucky and surrounding regions; financial terms were not disclosed.
