HVAC & Mechanical Acquisitions in Nebraska

AIR Control Concepts, a Norfolk, Virginia–headquartered commercial HVAC platform, has acquired Force Equipment HVAC, a nine-year-old commercial HVAC manufacturers' representative based in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The add-on expands AIR's Midwest footprint—bringing additional sales, service and parts support to Nebraska customers while providing Force's team access to AIR's broader resources and network.

Los Angeles-based private equity firm LightBay Capital made a growth investment in Burton (Burton Plumbing Services, LLC), a Omaha-headquartered provider of residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. The investment will support Burton's organic growth and continued add-on acquisition strategy; ShoreView, the prior sponsor, exited its investment as part of the transaction.

Burton Plumbing Services, a ShoreView portfolio company, has acquired Star City Heating & Cooling, a Lincoln, Nebraska-based HVAC services provider. The add-on expands Burton's market coverage into the Lincoln metropolitan area and increases its field technician staff and service vehicle fleet; the deal is ShoreView's first add-on since its March 2020 investment in Burton.

Temp-Con, a portfolio company backed by Centerfield Capital Partners and Caymus Equity Partners, acquired Hamilton Service Company, a commercial refrigeration and HVAC services provider based in Lincoln, Nebraska. The add-on acquisition, which closed October 9, 2020, expands Temp-Con's Midwest footprint and broadens its commercial refrigeration and HVAC service capabilities.

ShoreView Capital Partners activated its $425 million Fund IV and made its first investment by providing growth capital to Burton Plumbing Services, LLC. ShoreView partnered with the company's owner to support Burton's expansion and pursue regional add-on acquisitions; Burton is an Omaha-based provider of HVAC and plumbing services to residential and commercial customers.
