HVAC & Mechanical Acquisitions in Oregon

Kelvin Group, a national provider of industrial and commercial mechanical refrigeration services backed by Southfield Capital, has acquired PermaCold Engineering, a Portland-based industrial refrigeration firm. The add-on deal expands Kelvin's geographic footprint into the Pacific Northwest and brings PermaCold's expertise in ammonia and CO2 refrigeration to Kelvin's platform; terms were not disclosed.

Performance Systems Integration (PSI), a Portland-based fire and life safety platform, has acquired FirePro LLC, a Bend, Oregon fire protection specialist, as an add-on to expand PSI’s service coverage in Oregon. FirePro will be integrated into PSI’s platform to broaden inspection, maintenance and suppression services for commercial customers in Bend and surrounding areas.

The SEER Group has acquired Eugene, Oregon-based Alpine Heating & Air Conditioning, expanding SEER’s Oregon footprint. Alpine will continue to operate locally while gaining access to SEER’s operational resources and support to grow its residential and commercial HVAC services.

Service Logic, the largest privately held HVAC and mechanical services company in North America, has acquired HVAC, Incorporated, a commercial HVAC solutions provider based in Milwaukie, Oregon. ACT Capital Advisors advised HVAC, Inc. on the transaction; the deal expands Service Logic’s West Coast footprint and adds HVAC, Inc.’s design, installation, maintenance and building-automation capabilities to its national network.

The SEER Group LLC has acquired a majority stake in All Fuel Installation and Service, a Troutdale, Oregon-based home services provider founded by Eric and Sheri Camp. The deal is The SEER Group's thirty-second acquisition (and fifth this year) as it expands its residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing and fuel-services footprint in the Portland metropolitan market.

P1 Service Group, a portfolio company of Edgewater Growth Capital Partners, has acquired Sky Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical, a Portland-area residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical services provider. The acquisition expands P1's platform into the Pacific Northwest; Sky's owner and president Travis Smith will continue to lead the business and remain a shareholder.

Entek Corporation, a Longview-area HVAC services company, acquired P&L Johnson, a heating and cooling contractor based in Astoria, Oregon. Founders Paul Radu and Dale Johnson sold the business late last year as part of a planned succession; P&L Johnson will retain its name and employees and operate with Entek's backing to expand resources and services.

Southland Industries completed a brand consolidation by merging its Portland-based subsidiaries TCM Corp. and Envise Northwest into the Southland Industries brand as part of a plan to unify regional brands by January 2023. The consolidation aims to provide fully integrated building lifecycle solutions and strengthen collaboration and capabilities across Southland’s regional operations, with Dan Heichelbech leading the Northwest Division.
