BioCina and NovaCina, two contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), announced a strategic merger to create an integrated end-to-end biopharmaceutical and small-molecule contract manufacturing provider. The combined company will retain the BioCina name and will unite BioCina’s Adelaide (South Australia) process development/manufacturing capabilities with NovaCina’s Perth (Western Australia) sterile fill-finish facility.

Emmetts, an Australian family-owned John Deere agriculture equipment dealer group, has acquired Pringles Crouch, a John Deere dealer group with four branches in South Australia's Eyre Peninsula and Mid-North regions. The deal, effective 31 August 2023, expands Emmetts’ dealership network and Pringles Crouch will operate under the Emmetts brand name.

iFIT Health & Fitness Inc. acquired Sweat, a leading digital fitness app and platform focused on women’s health and fitness. Sweat will remain a standalone brand within iFIT, with co-founders Kayla Itsines and Tobi Pearce continuing to lead the business from its headquarters in Adelaide, Australia. Financial terms were not disclosed.

FuseFX has acquired Australia-based Rising Sun Pictures (RSP), a high-end visual effects studio headquartered in Adelaide. The deal is intended to position the combined business for global strategic growth, with RSP continuing to operate under its brand and co-founder Tony Clark remaining as studio lead.

Honeywell announced it will acquire Sine Group, an Adelaide, Australia-based technology and SaaS company providing visitor management, workplace, and supply chain solutions accessible via mobile devices. Sine’s software will support a cloud-based mobile platform for Honeywell Forge and enhance Honeywell’s Connected Buildings offerings with expanded safety, security, and compliance capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed.

QSR International, a qualitative data analytics software company, acquired Planet Software, the developer of Sonia student placement management software. The deal expands QSR’s academic-market product portfolio and supports broader global distribution and development of Sonia for universities, employers, and students.
