Acquisitions in Prince Edward Island, Canada

TopGum Industries, Ltd. has completed the acquisition of Island Abbey Nutritionals, a gummy supplement CDMO specializing in supplement gummies and lozenges. The deal expands TopGum’s manufacturing and technology capabilities in North America by adding Island Abbey’s Prince Edward Island facility, strengthening TopGum’s position in the global functional gummy supplement market.

Agilent Technologies Inc. signed and completed the acquisition of BIOVECTRA Inc., a Canada-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), for $925 million. BIOVECTRA, previously owned by H.I.G. Capital, adds biologics, sterile fill-finish, pDNA/mRNA, and lipid nanoparticle formulation capabilities to Agilent’s CDMO offering and will operate within Agilent’s Diagnostics and Genomics Group.

JDI Cleaning Limited Partnership (JDI LP), a portfolio company of TrussPoint Equity Partners, acquired United Janitorial Inc. and Drake Clean Up Systems Inc. (together, UJ Group). The acquired businesses will continue operating in Prince Edward Island under their existing management team, and former shareholders Jordan Fraser and Trevor Bevan will remain invested in UJ Group.

Incline Equity Partners acquired iWave, a subscription software platform providing fundraising intelligence and data-driven insights to nonprofit, education, and healthcare organizations. The seller was Sverica Capital Management, which exited its investment after a five-year holding period as iWave expanded its platform, integrations, and market leadership in fundraising intelligence.

Spectrio, a customer engagement technology provider, has acquired ScreenScape, a digital signage company headquartered in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The deal expands Spectrio’s digital solutions suite by enhancing strategic communications capabilities and adding scalable third-party integrations for global brands.

H.I.G. Capital announced that one of its affiliates has completed the acquisition of BioVectra Inc., a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates. BioVectra serves global pharmaceutical and biotech customers with cGMP outsourcing solutions and operates facilities in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada.
