Hecla Mining Company completed its acquisition of Alexco Resource Corp in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $69 million, giving Hecla ownership of Alexco’s Keno Hill silver district assets. In connection with closing, Hecla also terminated Wheaton Precious Metals’ silver streaming interest in the Keno Hill property in exchange for $135 million of Hecla common stock and provided Alexco a $30 million secured loan facility (with $25 million drawn at close).
