Acquisitions in Antioquia, Colombia

ACON Investments has acquired a controlling (majority) stake in Rymel, a Medellín-based manufacturer of power distribution transformers, with founder Jaime Cardona and his family retaining an ownership interest. The investment — supported by co-investors including DEG, FMO and Proparco — will support Rymel's expansion of manufacturing capacity and commercial coverage across the Americas amid rising demand from utilities, data centers and energy-transition projects.

Perficient, Inc. acquired Productora de Software S.A.S. (PSL), a nearshore software development company based in Medellin, Colombia. The acquisition adds more than 600 professionals and approximately $33 million in annual revenue, expanding Perficient's nearshore delivery capabilities across Medellin, Bogota, and Cali; PSL CEO Jorge Aramburo joins Perficient's leadership team.

Siigo, a leading Colombian cloud-based ERP provider backed by Accel-KKR, has acquired Ilimitada, a Medellín-based regional leader in accounting/ERP software. The deal expands Siigo’s presence in Medellín and aims to accelerate product development and cloud migration for Ilimitada’s SMB and accountant customer base.
