Acquisitions in Thuringia, Germany

Exaktera, a portfolio company of Union Park Capital, has acquired iiM AG (iiM GmbH), a German developer and manufacturer of specialty LED lighting for machine vision and optical measurement systems. The deal is an add-on to Exaktera’s machine-vision lighting platform, expanding its European footprint and complementary LED and optical measurement capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

CERTANIA Holding GmbH has added Relibell Zertifizierungsgesellschaft mbH, an Erfurt-based specialist in certification of renewable energy plants, to its Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) group. The Relibell management team, led by Managing Director Tobias Walter, will retain operational independence while gaining access to CERTANIA's resources to expand services for wind, photovoltaic, biogas and hydropower projects.

Bormioli Pharma S.p.A., a Triton Fund IV-backed packaging specialist, has acquired Remy & Geiser GmbH (R&G), a German manufacturer of plastic and glass primary packaging for the pharmaceutical industry. The deal strengthens Bormioli Pharma's presence in Germany and Northern Europe, expands its product range (closures, dosing systems, pipette droppers and tubular glass vials) and adds manufacturing capacity (two plants in Altenfeld and Schleusingen; ~270 employees).
