Acquisitions in Panama

MRO Holdings Inc. (MROH), a Panama-based aircraft maintenance and modifications provider, agreed to a strategic minority investment from Bain Capital to support its growth and expansion initiatives. The existing management team led by Greg Colgan will continue to run the business alongside existing investment partners, the Kriete family and Caoba Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.

Emmes, a global full-service clinical research organization (CRO), announced the acquisition of VaxTRIALS, a specialized CRO focused on managing and monitoring vaccine clinical trials across Latin America. The deal expands Emmes’ geographic reach into Latin America and strengthens its capabilities and client base in vaccines and infectious disease research.

Cable & Wireless Panamá S.A. (Más Móvil), a 49%-owned subsidiary of Liberty Latin America Ltd., completed the acquisition of América Móvil’s operations in Panama, known as Claro Panamá. The transaction concluded following regulatory approval and combines Cable & Wireless Panamá’s and Claro Panamá’s mobile and connectivity businesses in the Panamanian market.

ADM acquired Flavor Infusion International, S.A. (FISA), a provider of flavor and specialty ingredient solutions serving food and beverage customers across Latin America and the Caribbean. The transaction expands ADM’s Nutrition segment and flavors capabilities, adding a 60-person team and two manufacturing facilities located in Panama and Colombia.
