Acquisitions in Ukraine

HOLYWATER TECH announced it has acquired Jeynix, a high-end AI-assisted production team specializing in hyper-realistic visual effects and performance-preserving techniques. The deal brings Jeynix’s core technical team and proprietary production expertise in-house to strengthen HOLYWATER TECH’s ability to deliver cinematic-quality visuals at scale and accelerate localization across markets.

Nevada Gaming Holding, a US-based investment manager, has acquired Spacesiks, giving it ownership of Cosmolot, Ukraine’s leading online gambling company. Nevada Gaming plans to use the deal to drive Cosmolot’s domestic growth and expand its technology platform internationally across Europe and North America.

Onit, Inc. acquired AXDRAFT, a Y Combinator-backed document automation company, to expand its contract lifecycle management offerings with fast, multilingual document drafting capabilities. AXDRAFT, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine, will operate as an independent subsidiary of Onit led by co-founder Yuriy Zaremba.

Discovery Life Sciences announced the acquisition of East West Biopharma, a human biospecimen contract research organization in Europe with a large clinical biocollection network in Ukraine. The deal expands Discovery’s European footprint by creating what it says is Europe’s largest network of clinical collection sites for ethically consented biospecimens supporting global medical research.

STADA Group announced it will acquire Biopharma’s pharmaceutical prescription and consumer health business in Ukraine, including production facilities in Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region. Biopharma’s shareholders will retain the company’s plasma business and focus on developing it in Ukraine and internationally. The deal is subject to customary conditions, including Ukrainian merger clearance, and was expected to close in December 2019.

seriesOne Inc. acquired Dynamo Development, a custom software development company with an engineering team based in Ukraine. The deal brings software development in-house to strengthen seriesOne’s technology capabilities and support global expansion, adding approximately 40 engineers. Dynamo Development’s former CEO Dmitry Grinberg will lead the in-house technology division as Global Head of Technology at seriesOne.
