NPIF II - Maven Equity Finance has made a £1 million growth capital investment in Newcastle-based CRL Foods to accelerate production scaling and support new contract wins. The funding will be used to expand capacity, invest in equipment and scale the company's thermal processing capabilities for ready-to-drink beverage contract manufacturing.

ZetaDisplay AB (publ) has acquired UK-based Beyond Digital Solutions Ltd to strengthen its presence in the UK market. The acquisition was funded with equity from ZetaDisplay's owner, Hanover Investors, and is expected to be accretive to group EBITDA.

Perwyn has acquired LDC's stake in Newcastle-headquartered iamproperty, with co-founders Ben Ridgway and Jamie Cooke and the management team retaining a majority shareholding. iamproperty, a provider of SaaS technology solutions to UK estate agents (including the 'movebutler' conveyancing/onboarding platform), has grown rapidly under LDC's minority investment since 2019 — now employing over 530 people and expecting c. £76m revenue for the year ending October 2023.

Turntide Technologies has acquired the Gateshead Technical Center from BorgWarner. The Gateshead team of engineering specialists and R&D capabilities will be integrated into Turntide's Smart Motor System roadmap to accelerate the company's entry and capability build-out in electric transport.

Agilico, a Horizon Capital‑backed managed services provider, has acquired Gateshead‑headquartered Diamond Group, adding about £2m of revenue and more than 500 customers. The deal is an add-on acquisition that strengthens Agilico's presence in the north of England and expands its telecoms, IT and managed print capabilities for SME customers.
