IK Partners, through its IK Small Cap III fund, signed an agreement to acquire Checkmate Fire, the United Kingdom’s largest passive fire protection specialist, from YFM Equity Partners. Checkmate’s management team will reinvest alongside IK, and the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals; financial terms were not disclosed.

Forensic Access Group, a portfolio company of Limerston Capital, has acquired FTS (Forensic Testing Service), a provider of toxicology testing services for Family Law and Childcare Proceedings. The deal expands Forensic Access Group’s toxicology capabilities and capacity and supports its ongoing buy-and-build strategy. FTS is headquartered in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Rubicon Partners has completed a majority acquisition of Airedale Catering Equipment Group Limited, a UK market leader providing end-to-end commercial kitchen solutions and maintenance services. Existing management led by Rob Bywell will remain in place and retain a shareholder position, while Rockpool Investments and certain minority shareholders are selling their shares.
