Insurance Acquisitions in Idaho

Trucordia, a top-20 U.S. insurance brokerage headquartered in Lindon, Utah, has acquired the Fuhriman Insurance business based in Boise, Idaho. The acquisition expands Trucordia's personal and commercial insurance capabilities and brings Fuhriman's client-focused, tech-enabled insurance services into Trucordia's platform.

Long Ridge Equity Partners has made a minority growth investment in Pacific Crest Services (PCS), a turn-key insurance platform that provides back-office support, technology, carrier access, and compliance resources to independent insurance agents. The investment—Long Ridge's first deployment from Fund IV—will support PCS's next phase of growth; Long Ridge partners Jason Melton and Devin Stearns will join the PCS board and Jim Brown will join as a board observer.

Inszone Insurance Services, a Sacramento-based full-service insurance brokerage, has acquired Butler Insurance Services, Inc., marking Inszone's entry into the Idaho market. The deal brings Butler's Boise and Pocatello offices and team into the Inszone organization and expands Inszone's footprint and service capabilities in commercial, personal, and benefits insurance.

Ryan Specialty (NYSE: RYAN) signed a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets of ACE Benefit Partners, a medical stop loss general agent headquartered in Eagle, Idaho. The deal (terms undisclosed) is intended to expand Ryan Specialty Benefits’ medical stop loss distribution capabilities and establish a nationwide presence; the acquisition was expected to close in July 2023.

Freeway Insurance, a division of Confie, acquired Can-Do & Showers Insurance Agency, a long-established Idaho personal-lines agency with four retail locations. The deal is Freeway's first acquisition in Idaho and expands its Pacific Northwest footprint while retaining Can-Do & Showers' employees and operations under the Freeway brand.

Simplicity Group announced the acquisition of Insurance Network America (INA), a longtime wholesaler of life insurance, annuities and small-group health insurance, with INA's founder Jerry Hartman transitioning into retirement and Lauri Beck becoming a partner and shareholder of Simplicity. INA will continue to operate from its Idaho and Minnesota offices while transitioning to the Simplicity brand and gaining access to broader product and distribution resources.

Alliant Insurance Services acquired Pend Oreille Insurance, an independent insurance agency headquartered in Ponderay, Idaho. The deal expands Alliant's footprint in the Inland Northwest and brings Pend Oreille's commercial, personal, health and life insurance capabilities into Alliant's national platform; terms were not disclosed.

Hub International Limited acquired the assets of Harman Agency LLC, a Cottonwood/Orofino, Idaho-based insurance agency specializing in crop, farm & ranch, and livestock insurance. Owner Pepper Harman will join Hub Northwest as part of the transaction; terms were not disclosed.
