Media & Entertainment Acquisitions in Minnesota

BridgeTower Media has acquired Grace Media, the publisher of Window Fashion VISION and producer of the International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE). The acquisition expands BridgeTower's B2B media and events portfolio into the window coverings and home-furnishings vertical; Grace McNamara (founder) is exiting and Ania Munzer will remain in her leadership role. Financial terms were not disclosed; Grace Media was represented by Franklin Partners and Winthrop & Weinstine.

ShoreView Capital Partners has made a platform investment in AllOver Media, a national out-of-home (OOH) advertising execution and logistics provider. ShoreView partnered with AllOver Media management to support growth and the company will pursue add-on acquisitions to expand its OOH network and capabilities.

3Play Media, a Riverside Partners–backed video accessibility platform, has acquired Captionmax and its subsidiary National Captioning Canada (NCC). The add-on expands 3Play's live captioning capabilities and gives the company an established Canadian footprint; financial terms were not disclosed.

CTM Group Inc., a Z Capital Group-backed platform, acquired the family entertainment assets of Theisen Vending Inc., a portfolio of approximately 2,000 pieces of equipment operating across more than 180 locations in the United States and Puerto Rico. The acquisition expands CTM's installed base and footprint at high-traffic venues and supports its ongoing digital- and data-driven transformation to improve consumer experience and venue profitability.

Transom Capital Group has acquired BridgeTower Media, a B2B information, research, events and marketing platform formerly a subsidiary of Gannett Co. BridgeTower operates more than 40 print and digital brands across 25+ U.S. markets; Transom said it will invest in technology and resources to grow the business. Cerberus Business Finance provided financing for the transaction and JEGI acted as financial advisor to Gannett.

Northern Lights Broadcasting, a subsidiary of the Pohlad Companies, purchased the Minnesota-focused local digital and broadcast news operation of BringMeTheNews, LLC in an asset sale advised by Cherry Tree & Associates. The transaction transfers BringMeTheNews' 24-hour digital news curation operation and related Minnesota assets — including its name and a 28‑station radio network reach — to Northern Lights, while BringMeTheNews' founder refocuses the remaining business under the name PresentNation for national digital news curation.
