Retail Acquisitions in Kansas

Pure Hockey has acquired Bar Down Hockey Shop (Bar Down Sports Co.) in Overland Park, Kansas, marking the retailer's first entry into the Kansas market. The acquisition adds a specialty hockey retail store and training facility to Pure Hockey's national network of stores as the company continues geographic expansion across the U.S.

Strength Capital Partners made a minority growth investment in Kansas Golf & Turf, a Wichita-based dealer and distributor of golf cars, turf and lawn equipment, and related parts and repair services. Strength will partner with the McGreevy family to support organic growth initiatives and pursue strategic add-on acquisitions; financing for the deal included Enterprise Bank and Northcreek Mezzanine.

Motivity Capital Partners and Farragut Capital Partners have closed an investment in Bling Boutique LLC, an 11-store women's apparel and accessories boutique chain based in Wichita, Kansas. Founders Nicole Hedges-Campos and Mark Campos will continue to run the company as the investors provide growth capital to support the next phase of expansion in secondary and tertiary markets.
