Retail Acquisitions in Montana

Camping World Holdings, Inc. announced it intends to acquire I-90 RV in Billings, Montana, marking Camping World’s first location in Montana. The deal is expected to close in Q3 2023 as part of Camping World’s geographic expansion into the Montana market; I-90 RV has served the Billings community for over 20 years.

Christy Sports has acquired Grizzly Outfitters, a specialty outdoor retail and rental operator in Big Sky, Montana. The acquisition, which closed December 15, 2022, expands Christy Sports' retail and rental footprint in Montana and preserves the Grizzly Outfitters brand and staff during the transition.

ASB Sports, an affiliate of Trivest Partners, acquired the team sports division of Universal Athletic, headquartered in Bozeman, Montana. The deal expands ASB's nationwide sales coverage, brings management talent into the combined business (with Universal executives joining and investing), and leaves Universal Athletic's retail stores as a separately operated business.

Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply, a Montana-based western lifestyle retailer headquartered in Bozeman, will acquire Quality Supply, a Missoula, Montana-based chain with four stores, effective June 14, 2011. The purchase was a planned exit by owners Dave and Suzanne Peterson and expands Murdoch's Montana footprint while preserving most of Quality Supply's ~175 employees.
