Software Acquisitions in Montana

Edulog, a Missoula-based provider of K-12 student transportation software, received a strategic growth investment from Serent Capital to accelerate development of its cloud-native Athena platform and expand its reach across U.S. and Canadian school districts. As part of the partnership, Perry Turbes will join Edulog’s board through Serent’s OED program and Macquarie Capital served as exclusive financial advisor; terms were not disclosed.

Bridger Aerospace Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BAER) has acquired Ignis Technologies Inc. for $3.0 million plus up to $9.0 million in contingent restricted stock consideration tied to milestones and integration. The acquisition adds Ignis’s mobile and web wildfire intelligence platform to Bridger’s FireTrac and other fire-intelligence SaaS capabilities to expand the company’s firefighting situational-awareness technology offering.

Peterson (Peterson Private Equity / Peterson Partners) has made a growth equity investment in Black Mountain Software, a Polson, Montana-based provider of government accounting, utility billing, and school district accounting software. The capital will be used to accelerate product expansion, innovation, and growth into new geographies, and Black Mountain has added Mike Fabrizio and Nate Quinn as co-CEOs to support that growth.

SpotOn has acquired Dolce Software, a Missoula-based labor-management solution for restaurants. The acquisition integrates Dolce’s scheduling, compliance, tip distribution and payroll integrations into SpotOn’s restaurant platform to provide a more complete workforce-management capability for restaurant customers.

ServiceTitan has acquired CUC Software, Inc., an all-in-one service business software provider headquartered in Billings, Montana. ServiceTitan will migrate CUC's largely Canadian customer base (about 30% commercial customers) onto its platform, with CUC continuing support through April 1, 2020 to ensure a smooth transition.
