HCT Renewable Energy closed $13 million in growth financing via an asset-based facility from Phoenix Merchant Partners and Caydan Capital Partners. The capital will be used to accelerate and optimize HCT’s expansion in solar industry staffing across North America.

Sprockets acquired HourWork, a Boston-based AI-driven recruitment and retention platform focused on hourly workers. The deal expands Sprockets’ capabilities across recruitment, screening, and post-hire engagement to help employers improve hiring and retention outcomes.

Vensure Employer Solutions announced the acquisition of Tandem HR, a Westchester, Illinois-based outsourced HR and Professional Employer Organization (PEO) provider. The deal is Vensure's 79th acquisition in six years and expands its HR, benefits, payroll, and risk management capabilities for small and mid-sized businesses.

Vangst, a cannabis-focused hiring platform, acquired CannabizTemp, the temporary staffing division of CannabizTeam. The deal consideration was structured as 50% cash and 50% stock, and the integration of CannabizTemp customers into Vangst is set to begin immediately. CannabizTeam will continue operating its executive search business while Vangst customers gain access to Cannabiz Executive Recruiters.

Tandym Group, a consulting, recruitment, and workforce solutions company backed by Mill Rock Capital and ICG, has acquired Kolter Solutions, a technology staffing and recruiting firm. Kolter, headquartered in Maitland, Florida, specializes in Healthcare IT recruiting and staff augmentation, strengthening Tandym’s presence in Florida and its Healthcare IT focus. Financial terms were not disclosed.

MidOcean Partners made a significant investment in The Re-Sourcing Group, a professional services firm providing staffing, consulting, and direct hire solutions across finance & accounting, legal & compliance, and IT. The investment is intended to accelerate Re-Sourcing’s growth and expand its service offerings and geographic footprint. The Re-Sourcing Group was previously backed by McNally Capital; financial terms were not disclosed.

Talent Groups, a national IT staffing solutions provider and portfolio company of Osceola Capital, acquired Progilisys Solutions, LLC, an IT staffing and IT managed solutions firm based in Phoenix. The deal expands Talent Groups’ geographic footprint and strengthens its capabilities in IT staffing and managed solutions across the United States.

Aya Healthcare announced the acquisition of Winnow AI, a data science-driven platform that uses AI and business intelligence to help healthcare organizations recruit and retain physicians, including passive candidates likely to relocate. Winnow AI will operate within Aya’s Provider Solutions division and complements Aya’s DocCafe physician talent acquisition platform.

Talent Groups, an IT talent solutions and recruiting company, acquired Dallas-based talent solution providers Abacus Technical Services and The InSource Group for undisclosed terms. Osceola Capital, an investor in Talent Groups, highlighted that the acquisitions further expand Talent Groups’ platform and follow several prior acquisitions since its initial 2018 investment.

Vensure Employer Solutions announced the acquisition of Resource Management Inc. (RMI), an HR solutions provider based in Utah. The deal expands Vensure’s HR services capabilities and market reach, adding RMI’s payroll administration, benefits management, and compliance support expertise to Vensure’s offerings.

Surestaff, LLC, a Chicago-based light-industrial staffing firm, announced the acquisition of Cardinal Staffing, a staffing company founded in 1994 serving northern Ohio and southern Michigan. The deal expands Surestaff’s geographic and service reach and further strengthens its position in the U.S. and Midwest light-industrial staffing market. Cardinal’s leadership team, including COO Joe Young, VP of Sales Rhonda Clemons, and VP of Operations and Business Development Christina Ice, will remain with the company to drive continued growth.

BV Investment Partners announced a growth-oriented investment in Hardenbergh Group. Hardenbergh Group, headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, provides non-clinical professional staffing, consulting, physician peer review, and outsourced solutions to healthcare organizations across the United States.

ZRG, a global talent advisory firm, announced the acquisition of The Registry, an interim executive solutions firm focused on higher education. The Registry, headquartered in Peabody, Massachusetts, provides interim leadership placements for colleges and universities across the U.S. and internationally.

Jackson Healthcare signed a definitive agreement to acquire LRS Healthcare, a nurse and allied health medical staffing firm headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon closing, LRS Healthcare will become an operating business within the Jackson Healthcare family of companies and will continue to operate under its current brand and leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2023.

New Mountain Capital announced a new majority investment in ALKU, a specialty staffing firm headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts. Existing investors FFL Partners and WestView Capital Partners, along with ALKU management and founder/CEO Mark Eldridge, are reinvesting alongside New Mountain as the company pursues continued growth.

Talent Group, a national IT staffing company backed by Osceola Capital, has acquired Queen Consulting Group, an IT staffing and consulting firm focused on healthcare and pharma IT and Epic EMR implementations. Queen Consulting Group founder Carl Foster and key executives will join Talent Group’s senior leadership team as the combined organization expands its IT human capital services and consulting offerings.

Kingsway Financial Services Inc. acquired Secure Nursing Service, Inc. (SNS), a Los Angeles-based healthcare staffing firm, as the third acquisition under its Kingsway Search Xcelerator Program. The transaction was structured as an asset purchase for $10.9 million, financed with a combination of Signature Bank debt and Kingsway cash on hand, and is expected to be immediately accretive.

One Equity Partners (OEP) has completed the acquisition of Prime Time Healthcare, a healthcare staffing services provider specializing in travel-based nursing assignments across the United States. Prime Time is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and places RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and allied health clinicians with thousands of healthcare facilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

Harver announced it has completed the acquisition of pymetrics, a provider of unbiased soft-skills assessments. The combination adds pymetrics’ behavioral-based AI methodology to Harver’s talent assessment suite, expanding capabilities across talent acquisition and talent management throughout the employee lifecycle.

Addison Group acquired Harmony Healthcare, a human capital management company providing non-clinical healthcare workforce and consulting solutions nationwide. The deal expands Addison’s non-clinical healthcare services offering and supports its ongoing growth strategy through acquisitions. Harmony Healthcare will remain headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and its executives and team will retain their roles.

Consulting Solutions, a portfolio company of White Wolf Capital, announced the acquisition of iBridge Solutions, LLC, an information technology consulting and staffing firm. iBridge, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, will operate as a standalone division and continue providing technology services and workforce solutions in the St. Louis area.

GHR Healthcare, a parent company of multiple healthcare staffing brands, acquired Meleeo, a Tampa-based provider of revenue cycle staffing and advisory services. The deal expands GHR’s RevCycle Workforce capabilities in mid-revenue cycle areas such as case management, coding, CDI, utilization review, and staff augmentation for hospitals and health systems nationwide.

Industrial Skilled Trades (IST) has acquired LEAPROS Workforce Solutions, a national provider of specialized talent acquisition, technology, and consulting solutions. LEAPROS is headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, and the transaction was announced by Woodbridge International, LEAPROS's M&A advisor.

SOAL Technologies acquired Tekberry on June 1, 2022, bringing two staffing and recruiting firms together. The combination is intended to strengthen SOAL’s presence in information technology, healthcare, and light industrial/administrative staffing, with SOAL managing operations for both businesses. Both companies are headquartered in Austin, Texas.

Ingenovis Health, Inc., a healthcare workforce solutions company backed by Cornell Capital and Trilantic North America, acquired VISTA Staffing Solutions from Envision Physician Services. VISTA is a locum tenens and permanent physician placement firm, and the deal expands Ingenovis’ physician and advanced practitioner staffing capabilities and service offerings.

SkillStorm acquired Talent Path, a Hire-Train-Deploy technology talent development company previously backed by Achieve Partners. Concurrently, Achieve Partners made a strategic investment in SkillStorm to support the integration of Talent Path and accelerate SkillStorm’s growth.

Hirewell announced the acquisition of Rainmakers, a digital recruiting marketplace focused on top tech sales talent. The deal supports Hirewell’s strategy to build a tech-enabled talent ecosystem, following its prior $21M investment from Prytek, and will integrate Rainmakers’ marketplace into Hirewell’s broader recruiting and technology offerings.

E78 Partners acquired The CFO Suite, a Texas-based professional services firm that provides interim, project, and direct-hire financial executives and staff. The deal expands E78 Partners’ interim staffing resources for private equity firms, portfolio companies, and corporate clients; terms were not disclosed.

Kingsley Gate Partners received a significant growth investment from Crescent Cove Advisors to accelerate global expansion, leadership development, and continued investment in its talent acquisition and AI software. 7 Mile Advisors served as the exclusive sell-side advisor to Kingsley Gate Partners on the transaction.

PeopleWorks Holdings, LLC, formed by Housatonic Partners in partnership with CEO Dan Filby, acquired Accusource Inc. and PeopleG2 Corporation in late 2021. The acquisitions combine two pre-employment screening providers offering background checks, drug & alcohol testing, and employment verification services across multiple industry verticals. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Talent Group, an IT staffing company, has acquired EdgeLink, a technology staffing and recruiting firm headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The two firms will merge operations while EdgeLink continues to operate under its brand, expanding Talent Group’s geographic footprint and service capabilities. Osceola Capital, which invested in Talent Group in 2018, noted this is the third acquisition since its initial investment.

FFL Partners completed a significant private equity investment in Optomi Professional Services (OPS), a provider of technology consulting, IT staff augmentation under the Optomi brand, and domestic rural outsourcing under the Provalus brand. OPS is headquartered in Atlanta and supports Fortune 2000 clients across areas including cybersecurity, data modernization, software engineering, and cloud & infrastructure. Financial terms were not disclosed.

True announced the acquisition of climate technology and sustainability executive search firm Hobbs & Towne, Inc. (HTI). Following the transaction, HTI will operate as True’s new Climate Tech practice, expanding True’s capabilities in ESG, sustainability, and climate technology recruiting.

Achieve Partners announced an investment in Ro Health, a fast-growing provider of nursing and behavioral therapy staffing solutions in school and home health environments. The investment is intended to help address shortages of K-12 healthcare professionals by launching in-house training and apprenticeship-style programs to expand the talent pipeline.

Vaco, a global talent solutions firm, acquired Bay State Search, a Boston-based talent acquisition and outsourcing firm. The acquisition marks Vaco’s entry into the Boston market and expands its Northeast presence across consulting, contract, and direct-hire staffing services.

Hire Dynamics, a staffing company based in Atlanta and backed by MSouth Equity Partners, acquired Houston-based staffing firm The Daniel Group. The deal expands Hire Dynamics’ footprint in Texas, adding offices and capabilities across commercial staffing and professional placements including engineering and finance/accounting roles.

PRO Unlimited announced the acquisition of WillHire to enhance its direct sourcing and worker experience offerings within its Integrated Workforce Management platform. WillHire’s capabilities will be integrated into DirectSource PRO to expand PRO’s reach into light-industrial, blue-collar, and shift-worker talent pools and improve candidate engagement and hiring efficiency.

Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management (the Apollo Funds) completed the acquisition of EmployBridge, a major industrial staffing company in the United States. The transaction establishes a strategic partnership intended to accelerate EmployBridge’s growth through investments in technology, associate experience, and client engagement models; financial terms were not disclosed.

Merit Capital Partners acquired The Liberty Group in partnership with Six Pillars Partners and Liberty founder and President Ken Bohan. The Liberty Group, headquartered in Houston, Texas, provides specialty temporary staffing and executive search services focused on the U.S. multi-family real estate industry.

Infosoft Group, LLC, doing business as Circa, announced the acquisition of Colorado-based LatPro, Inc. (dba DiversityJobs), a provider of diversity recruiting and OFCCP HR compliance technology solutions. DiversityJobs will become a subsidiary of Infosoft/Circa, expanding Circa’s diversity-focused talent acquisition and compliance offering.

Eliassen Group, LLC acquired Rooster Park LLC, a Seattle-area software engineering staffing agency and consultancy. The deal expands Eliassen Group’s West Coast presence and enhances its software engineering consulting and IT talent solutions capabilities.

Periscope Equity added MAS Medical Staffing LLC to its portfolio via a recapitalization in partnership with the company’s management team. MAS, a tech-enabled medical staffing agency serving long-term care facilities, will use the partnership to expand geographically, accelerate technology development, and pursue strategic acquisitions. The transaction is described as Periscope Equity II, L.P.’s first platform investment.

People2.0 acquired TalentWave, a US provider of employer of record (EOR), agent of record (AOR), and workforce compliance services; financial terms were not disclosed. The combination expands People2.0’s global workforce deployment platform with TalentWave’s connectivity in the US high-volume talent procurement market. TalentWave’s prior owner, Serent Capital, will roll equity into the combined company, becoming a People2.0 shareholder and joining the board.

Vaco, a talent and solutions firm, acquired Alluvion, a Jacksonville, Florida-based national talent acquisition and outsourcing firm. The deal expands Vaco’s presence in Florida and strengthens its consulting, contract, and direct hire capabilities across accounting and finance, technology, and operations.

The Vistria Group announced a strategic partnership with Apollo Impact Mission (Apollo Global’s Impact Fund) to accelerate the growth of Supplemental Health Care, a healthcare staffing and workforce solutions management company. Under the new arrangement, Vistria Fund IV and Apollo Impact Mission will become equal owners of Supplemental Health Care, and The Vistria Group will liquidate its prior 2015-era holding in the company made through Vistria Fund, LP (Fund I).

Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS) signed an agreement to acquire Signature Consultants, LLC and combine operations, creating one of the largest IT staffing services providers in the United States. The transaction is being funded through debt financing provided by Wells Fargo Bank and The Carlyle Group’s Global Credit platform, with both brands expected to remain in the market for the foreseeable future.

FFL Partners invested $100 million in Denver-based workforce-services company Velocity Global LLC, marking the company’s first outside institutional capital. Around the same time, Velocity Global acquired San Francisco-based iWorkGlobal to expand its employer-of-record and related HR services capabilities; terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Consulting Solutions, a portfolio company of White Wolf Capital, announced the acquisition of TEK Connexion, a technology services and IT workforce solutions provider. The deal expands Consulting Solutions’ services portfolio and talent base across North America; financial terms were not disclosed. In conjunction with the acquisition, Consulting Solutions was recapitalized to support continued growth and future acquisitions.

ettain group, a provider of talent solutions, acquired INT Technologies (INT), a certified veteran-owned staffing and consulting company focused on technology staffing. INT is headquartered in Mesa, Arizona, and the deal is intended to strengthen ettain group’s strategic accounts program and expand its geographic footprint. ettain group has been a portfolio company of Alvarez & Marsal Capital since 2019.

SNH Capital Partners acquired Ohio-based OPENonline, a provider of employment background checks and investigative services. OPENonline will be integrated into SNH’s existing background screening portfolio and operate under the Universal Background Screening brand.

Boathouse Capital-backed Accurate Background acquired CareerBuilder Employment Screening (CBES) from CareerBuilder. The combined business will operate under the Accurate Background brand, expanding scale and capabilities in background screening and drug-testing services and technology for employers in the U.S. and internationally. CareerBuilder will continue offering Accurate’s employment screening services to its clients through a strategic partnership agreement.

The Planet Group, a portfolio company of MidOcean Partners, entered into an agreement to acquire WinterWyman, a staffing firm specializing in Technology, Finance & Admin, and Human Resources. The deal expands Planet’s outsourced human capital and consulting solutions and strengthens its presence in the Northeastern U.S. staffing market. WinterWyman will continue to be led by CEO Scott Ragusa following the acquisition.

FFL Partners completed a majority investment in ALKU, a specialized consulting and staffing services provider, in a recapitalization transaction. ALKU CEO and Founder Mark Eldridge and the management team retained a significant minority stake by investing alongside FFL, and existing minority investor WestView Capital Partners also invested in the recapitalization.

Hospitality Staffing Solutions, LLC (HSS) announced the acquisition of FoodStaff, a specialty provider of food and beverage staffing personnel. FoodStaff will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of HSS and continue using the FoodStaff brand. The deal expands HSS’s hospitality staffing capabilities and reach across the United States.

Investcorp acquired a controlling stake in Revature, a technology talent development company offering coding immersion programs and turnkey talent acquisition services. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. University Ventures exited its investment in Revature as part of the deal, while Revature CEO Ashwin Bharath will remain to help oversee the company’s growth.

First-Tek completed the strategic acquisition of iFusionIT, a Pacific Northwest provider of software staffing and consulting solutions. ACT Capital Advisors advised iFusionIT’s shareholders on the sale through a competitive auction process and supported diligence and closing.
